It's a commonly known occurrence as of now.

A lovely chain of stupidity happened to me earlier.

I am currently catsitting at a place in Clapton for a friend with my thinly veiled. It's the top floor of a terrace house with an elderly lady underneath.

ACT OF STUPIDITY (AoS) #1
We come back to the house to find the woman's keys on the floor outside the communal door. Turns out she left them there while cleaning.

My lady goes to return them. She ends up pushing the panic button on her door thinking it's a doorbell, setting off an alarm in her flat.

After having a bit of a panic with this old lady who doesn't speak much english, she proceeds to tell us the she doesn't have the reset code as she has never needed it. I proceed to pull the speaker off the wall (with her permission). At this point, the noise dies down and we realise that the whole house alarm system is going off.

Anyway, boring solution involving calling up her son to get the code and the whole neighbourhood thinking that we are breaking in and terrorising this delicate person. I now have some minor tinnitus and the jitters.

Make me feel better by telling me how stupid you have all been too. Please. If not I'll just starting insulting everyone.
