I'm doing this on the HMRC website right now (live blog) and have a question:

It's asking me when I started working for myself. I have earned a very small amount of money (about £200) over the last 6 weeks or so and I want to declare it (can't be arsed to explain to you losers why). If I say that I started working for myself two months will I have been breaking the rules for not registering before and liable for some kind of penalty?
