Just drove past the Albert, a local haunt of mine, and the storm doors are lying wide open to let air into the pub. THis is a clear indicator of summer.

The Paddle Steamer Waverley has just put this on its facebook page:

16:00 hours 1st June. Glasgow Plantation Quay. Waverley departs for Liverpool Pilot Station. Vessel ready in all respects for passenger service. Captain A.T. O'Brian commanding.

The Waverley has set sail, so it is definitely summer.

There is a queue outside the Tanning salon across from the Spar up the road. It is definitely summer (this is the west of Scotland after all.)

I am wearing denim cutoff shorts without tights. It is definitely summer.

Ermm, I am craving a gin and tonic. This never happens in winter so I shall surmise that it is probably summer.
