Weekend_Football_Thread...
Not the most inspiring weekend on paper Premier League-wise, with the title now done after a Phil Jones-inspired United saw off Villa at home, and with the bottom two virtually gone. The most interesting game of the weekend is probably Wigan v Spurs as it has something at stake at both ends of the table.
Big day in the Championship tomorrow. No-one can technically be relegated, but any of Good Side Barnsley, Peterboro or Wolves could more-or-less be down if they balls up. Hull go to Oakwell, Watford are currently 1-2 up at Leicester.
The biggest game of the day probably comes at Griffin Park, however, as Uwe's Brentford know a win against promotion rivals Doncaster would see them promoted. Bournemouth should win the title at Prenton Park but won't lift the trophy for some strange reason. Scunthorpe have an outside chance of survival if they beat Swindon and Colchester lose against Carlisle.
In League Two, six teams fight to avoid joining Aldershot in the BSP. Hopefully, Wimbledon will stop up, but idk. Any loser in the Dagenham v York game might be fooked if Wimbledon manage a win. Rotherham should clinch the last play-off place, but Cheltenham have an outside chance.
There's also the second legs of the BSP play-offs, with Wrexham and Newport each holding one-goal leads.
Games of note abroad include the wounded big two in Spain travelling to fanboys favourites Bilbao and Atleti, respectively, Sociedad v Valencia, a Turin derby & Parma v Lazio
Predictions, thought, plans, bets, FF changes, etc, etc, no banter, though, please...
