Hi DiS,

I got a Rega RP1 for Christmas and finally have enough cash to buy the surrounding elements, so I can (sadly) say goodbye to my 30 year old Phillips all-in-one.

However, using said all-in-one means I have no idea what I'm doing. I assume I need an amp, pre-amp and speakers, and cables and that.

I have a budget of around £300, would happily go lower but could possibly stretch higher.

Important note: I want to be able to hook my laptop to this system as well if that matters in terms of whether I buy speakers or monitors (or something, I really don't know what I'm talking about)?
