DiS Video Game Club (Like A Book Club but it's not books)
This ideas has been batted around before & some people seemed keen so I was wondering if this was still the case because I think I have a pretty good format to work with..
The jist:
* User's can nominate 1 game per week for selection with a brief line as to why they want us to play + include a link to the game.
*Every 2 weeks we start a new game
*The game will primarily be on PC format but will have low specification requirements (Indie developed games) so the majority of drownedinsound users who wish to participate can do so.
* £9.99 price cap, no games at a higher cost allowed to be nominated. Free to play games obviously can be nominated.
* Every week between game selections we will have a voting process based on nominations from users.
* If multiplayer-centric games, we can arrange some sessions and have a laugh!
The reason I want to focus on cheap indie games is for many reasons, for one thing it'll allow people to play stuff they'd may never otherwise play + they're cheap and often don't tend to require as much time as many AAA titles. Also as said previously it's easier to make sure the game are to low specification so anyones computer will be able to run the games.
If people are up for this I will create a Steam group to try an make it easier to follow for those of you that do wish to participate.
So? Who wants in?
