It's a shame people retire and workplaces are so young these days. This is waht I miss about working in the public sector.

There's only one man at work who you could call elderly and he is just wonderful to be around and he smiles and he looks you in the eye when he says hello like you're really special. And he has a twinkle in his eye and a lovely, unobtrusive sense of humour. But my favourite thing about him is that he has this inner calm, I read it as... 'look at all these people taking everything ever so seriously'.
