I used to hate visiting them as a kid (much preferred going to castles, especially if I was allowed to take my sword and shield), but now I quite like visiting them if I've got a spare Saturday.

Drive into the country, go on a walk round some nice grounds, have some tea and cake afterwards.. gaaah, I'm getting old!

Anyone else a fan? Recommendations of places to visit?
