I am pretty sure I've got this right, but want to check before I go soldering stuff and/or blowing myself up...

I am wiring something up, the circuit I am wiring it to has red and black wires. The device(s) I am wiring up have a black and white and black wire.

I am 99.9% sure that the black and white wire is the same as the red wire [due to both bits having black wires]. Someone confirm plz?
