ok, so everyone knows that Windows 8 is overly cluttered and has taken a simple thing and made it unintuitive, clunky and shit BUT my new computer came with it and I don't have any previous editions on hand right now so I'm stuck with it for the time being...

that said

to start with IE was the default browser (lol) but the other day it asked me to choose from a selection of the others (chrome, firefox, whatever) and I chose Chrome and installed it.

Now it asks me every time i turn the computer on to choose a new browser and if i try to ignore it the "panel" (eugh) for selection pops back up while I'm trying to use the regular desktop (the only "panel" anyone actually needs) and even when I try to fuck it off it won't stay fucked off and will come back a few minutes later.

How do I stop this?!!?!?
