Band advice (not a "vote for us" thing)
I'm in a band based in Manchester, we've been around for about 3 years.
We've done some cool stuff - a few festivals, some good support slots, even a few shows in LA. We've written a lot of songs over the years, released a couple of EPs and singles, had a bit of radio play - the usual.
Over the last 3-4 months, we've focussed on writing new material, and setting up our own studio/recording space. We've recorded 6 demos so far, and we're aiming to have 10 done by April.
They are (in our opinion), the best songs we've written and recorded - a pretty big step up in quality from anything we've done before.
So, what now?
We don't really want to make an album (yet). Do we release another EP? Gig our arses off (again) and try and get a bigger fanbase?
I'd actually like some geniuine advice on what you think the best steps are to get somewhere - not "hey we wanna be famous and play at Wembley and take loads of drugs" - just the next step up the ladder.
Here's the only demo we've made public so far if you fancy a listen:
