1) how does a bean or a seed know how to grow upwards when you plant it underground?

2) if you invented time travel you could go back in time and say, form the beatles or discover gravity or whatever else, just to cement your name in history. so then maybe in the future (where time travel exists) someone has already gone back in time and formed the beatles? eg john lennon is actually from the future, not the past. as far as i can tell there is a 50/50 chance of this being true
