mildly inspired by the thread on keeping bottled urine...

i recently visited someone who's a hoarder. it's absolutely baffling how they've gathered that much crap over time. it's also kinda sad because his floorboards on the upstairs of his house have literally caved in due to the weight of it all.

so what causes it? what are your experiences of it?
