no desire to read the 1000 page report (at least not while i'm at work, i have no life so may read it at home - i won't), but i noted this from the (inevitable) guardian article on it:

."But he said that "over the last 30-35 years and probably much longer" politicians of the government and official opposition have "had or developed too close a relationship with the press in a way which has not been in the public interest".
