where do the rings come from? why is the outside so differenet? also, what happens that makes the branches go where they are? so all the trees are different but what makes that happen? like maybe a bug digs a little hole and then a branch can come out of it? this is biology isn't it.

also, something else i can't help but think about is hw dense wood is and that it would be really dark if you were inside the tree
