Apologies for the source (dailymail) but this is outrageous. This woman was severely beaten by her girlfriend's brother after a thanksgiving meal. The rest of the family stood by and did nothing. She needed facial reconstructive surgery, and had bleeding on the brain. Presumably all because of her sexual orientation. What's more, Mallory's attacker can't be charged with hate crime, as Alabama does not include sexual orientation among bias offences!!!!!

This is sickening. It makes me so, so angry about the world and some of the people in it.
