Tell me about the best books you've read this year.
Yeah, another book thread.
I tried to read 50 books this year. I've *just* started my 31st. So yeah, gonna fail that challenge unfortunately. But I've read some crackers:
China Mieville's The City And The City and Saramago's The Double have probably been my favourite novels.
I've read quite a bit of non-fiction too, stuff about North Korea (Nothing To Envy and Escape From Camp 14 should be recommended reading for everyone) stands out the most. Oh and Michael Foley's The Age of Absurdity, but that just shows me up as being a pretentious bastard.
