Great day for the Blue Macs as they hammer sorry Villa and Chelsea and the Red Mancs fall short to great performances by everyone's favourite Middle England team and those plucky Canaries respectively. The keeper making a couple of RUDDY good saves at the death for the latter.

Suarez and co ease past Wigan without any problems, but Newcastle continue to have them, losing at home to Swansea. Missed a hatful of chances by the looks of it, too.

At the bottom Southampton get a huge win at Loftus Road. Surely someone else can do a better job with that QPR team. surely. Reading also grab a vital win against Everton.

The Emirates was rocking on Saturday where another 5-2 mauling was inflicted on Spurs. Best atmosphere of the season so far by a country mile. The result was huge but there’s no doubt the sending off changed things, until that point we were looking as hopeless as ever. Still, although AVB claiming total domination from first minute to last was slightly overstating things, there’s no doubt we did our best to make it look like we were still playing eleven men.

Sunderland scored a few goals yesterday too for a change, including a bit of a belter from Sessingnon.
