Obviously I haven't checked to see if any of these are unsubstantiated, but:

- Not having bins in train stations. How many times has a bomb been left in a train station? The IRA haven't bombed the mainland UK for God knows how long, and Al Quaida don't need bins. Give us some bins in train stations ffs.

- Parents of missing kids giving press conferences to "humanise" them and therefore guilt trip the abductor into returning them safely. Has this ever worked? Would be interested to know either way.
