They're both good. People who hate cats tend to simply be people who haven't spent time getting to know one. People who don't like dogs? Well, unless you've got a phobia, that's like not liking smiles and laughter.

I prefer spending time with a dog but cats are cool. By definition in fact.

So yeah, in another of my 'can't we all just get along' tedious fence-sitting philosophies- cats and dogs- both quite nice.
