I just finished the first series of 24, had previously avoided it because I thought it looked terrible but this blissful ignorance did not last forever as the girlfriend made me watch it with her.

Thought it was absolutely awful, completely ridiculous and had so many many holes in the storyline. Genuinely seemed like they were writing it as they went along, also seemed to have so many pointless side stories as well. Judging from the synopsis on the DVD boxes the plots seem to get more ridiculous from here on in. Will not be watching any more series after this. Which is a shame because the 24 hour day thing could have been done so so well.
