So this new guy started a couple of months ago. I should like him really, he's nice enough, about my age, seems like a relatively normal person.

However he's junior to me, and a couple of years younger, but is getting given much more interesting work than me. The exact kind of work I've been asking for for the last 2 years and have been promised time and again "when the right thing comes up".

Add to this the fact that the projects I'm working on are all going through slow periods which makes my job really routine and basically makes me a message courier between clients and third parties. All the while he sits opposite discussing big issues with the Directors on the phone and generally looking smug and arrogant.

I can't help starting to hate him, although its not his fault. Don't know what the point of this thread is.
