I've started boxing lessons and I'm alright at it, not a complete wimp like the other birds but not well hard yet.
HOWEVER ive been told that my next class I'll need a mouth guard.

Few questions:

how much does it hurt getting hit in the face?
will it bruise my face? I don't bruise THAT easily but don't want a black eye
have you ever lost a tooth even WITH a mouth guard?
