As you know, i'm not really into billionaireball nowadays, but i am getting back into supporting our beloved national team, especially now we've got a gentleman manager and a non-fascist captain. They play San Marino on Friday, but i'm going to go against the grain somewhat and start a thread today, on Wednesday, because that's just how i roll, and this blockbuster game warrants talking about in a thread all of its own for at least 48 hours. Which team are YOU hoping Royster picks?

DEF - Walker, Jagielka, Lescott, Cahill, Shawcross, Bertrand, Cole, Baines

MID - Milner, Lennon, Walcott, Carrick, Lampard, Shelvey, Cleverly, A.Johnson, Chamberlain

FW - Rooney, Defoe, Welbeck, Carroll

* Glen Johnson & Steven Gerrard in the squad for Poland but suspended for San Marino.

I'd quite like us to not be boring bastards and to play the complete backup XI, save the main lads for Poland away. It's San Mafuckingrino, ffs, we should paste them at least 2-0 whatever team we put out.

Ideally...

- no need to play Hart. The backups don't exactly inspire, but if you can't blood one at home against these lot i don't know when you can.

- give some fresh blood a start, especially in defence where we need to know our options in light of Racist John's retirement and Cashley's likely one when he's reached his 100th cap

- give Carrick a go in midfield whilst Brave Brave Scotty Brave and GazBaz aren't fit, he should be okay against San Marino

- we don't need Milner's selfless workrate for this one. Lennon should get the nod on club form, but i'd like to see AJ in there somewhere, though he probably doesn't deserve to be, but at least he's not Theo Walcott.

- no need to have WazzaRoon in there slowing play down, loadsa pace with Defoe and Welbeck (England's best player over 2012, imho) and smash 'em.
