A question - for those that went to edinburgh halloween fire festival recently

I will be taking a whole bunch of offshore IT staff to see this, I know it starts at castle hill at 9 and then goes on to 11. I want them to all have a good time.

But will we have to get there early to get a good view? Will this matter?
When/where would be best?
