Food 'Chains'
honestly, I have decided to never go to a chain ever again.
I came to this way of thinking a week or so ago. my friend and I had just hit the National Gallery and I was a bit hungry. I asked if he minded if I had a feed, he didn't which was super cool.
we hit Bella Italia, just round the corner. I had a mad urge for Carbonara. honestly, I was salivating at the prospect.
anyway, I ordered my food and my man had a pudding. seriously, two minutes later, out came a pile of fucking microwaved BULLSHIT. it was awful. admittedly, it was relatively cheap, but COME ON! no good, man.
later on that evening, I was hungry again, so we hit this family run Italian joint. what an amazing experience. 3 generations of family all in the restaurant, granny doing the salad, dad flipping the dough, kids knocking around doing kid things.
that was it for me. I decided I would never go to a chain again. only family run places.
please be assured, I ain't trying to be hip or indie. this is not my style. just chucking words out.
talk about this, if you like.
