The Karaoke virgin being me dummy.

This Friday, I will be in a room consisting of about 15 girls and two guys. We will be singing karaoke. I've never done this before and never wanted to (including now) but it's part of my new outlook on life to say yes to more things and step out of my comfort zone.

So what advice can you give me please? Any particularly easy songs to sing? Like I say I can't really sing so I suppose something requiring a narrow vocal range, maybe even a speak-sing style (NOT rap) would be best. Should I get drunk and maybe ask one of the laydeez if they'd like to duet with me? Finally if I bottle it is it acceptable to not take part; like just stay sat down and be talkative and pleasant stuff and not in a sulk?
