hello. I got on a train yesterday and much to my surprise, I was in first class.
my immediate reaction was of joy - all the tea/coffee a man could want, biccies, fruit, papers etc - all gratis
further along the journey I started questioning why the trolley man was being ultra ultra nice to me. I tell you why, cos he thought I was money. If I was in the normal carriage, I wouldn't have been spoken to in the same way.
there was a posh american lady sat near and she had a query with her ticket, where to get off, whatever. anyway, the ticket chump actually offered to let her use his phone to make some calls. you clearly wouldnt get this in second class.
dunno if this is a thread, but it kind of pissed me off that you get treated a lot better than 90% of the train, just because you earn more than 55k.
