WhT I don't understand is- if you're about got go on this, surely, knowing what it involves, you do one or both of:
A) have a full and frank, detailed discussion about the aspects of a wedding that are critival to you (eg religious or civil, whether you want a white dress, a goth band, etc.)
B) not be the kind of person who is bothered unduly by the details or materialistic side of a wedding.
