Borderlands 2 - any opinions yet?

I bought the first one, and it was fun for about 1 week, then I got very bord of it.

Has the follow up got a bit more to it? If I lost interest in the first one so quickly (not saying I didn't enjoy it, because I did) is there any point in buying this?
