Here....HAPPY NOW?

So, I finally put the finishing touches to my bike on Saturday…I feel kind of lost now.

It started out like this, and cost me £60 from one of those bike rescue places:

But more knackered, rusty and scratched etc, one of the pedals came off as I was rounding a corner (thankfully, no cars coming, or I'd be a dead un.) A few months later, when I went over a pot hole, the front mudguard decided to attach itself to my front wheel, over the handlebars I flew, chipping my two front teeth on the road.

Eventually it was in such a state (buckled wheels, really badly cracked tyres etc) I decided to give it a full overhaul.

Rain, and a lack of cleaning led to it looking like this just before it was stripped and painted:

I could have cried when I put the cotterless chainset and cranks on, it was so easy, and had wasted sooooooooo much time knocking out cotter pins, to change the spindle, try and fit a new cottered crankset (on which the holes for cotter pins were too large) and before painting.

After some last minute welding (there was a crack in the swing arm), it went to the powder coaters.

I can't believe how well the head badge came up, it was so dull before the bike was stripped back.

Everything bar the headset & the brakes has been replaced since I bought the bike 4 yrs ago.
