Fancypants cutlery (POINTLESS REDESIGN CENTRIC)
There is a reason cutlery has remained so classic, isn't there?
We bought some IKEA cutlery a few months back. It all LOOKED normal, but the large spoons are an odd size, meaning you get a dribble of milk down your chin everytime you try and eat cereal. This is not localised to me, but everyone who has used them thus far.
Also where I'm working right now has insane teaspoons. Well, they're not that insane, but they are too wide to crush a teabag decently against the side of a cup. Which is a fundamental design flaw.
Though they're some way off of these monstrosities:

So what else should be kept simple, but gets fucked up by bored designers?
PS. I'd link this thread to that one which showed up who is posh by detailing what order you put your cutlery in a drawer in (fork, knife, spoon for the win).
