I'm really quite sick of seeing it in the papers and on the news. I know England haven't won the Ashes in 100 years or whatever, but some people are pissing me off.

Besides the fact I dislike cricket as a sport, what gets me annoyed is how you have all these hundreds of fans turning out to watch England's victory parade and going on about how delighted they are. The thing is, a couple of year ago, everyone was pretending to be a huge rugby fan when we won the world cup. It was, 'Johnny Wilkinson is a god', everywhere... sportsman of the year, loads of TV appearances etc... Now, who gives a shit about our rugby team? Its never on the news any more, for more than a couple of seconds and Johnny Wilkinson is just 'that rugby player bloke'.

All these part time sport fans piss me off. Andrew Flintoff is no doubt certain to win shitloads of awards this year, and everyone's going to have their noses up his arse. But in a couple of years, he'll just be yesterday's Jonny Wilkinson. They all talk about him like he's this 'British Hero', but he's not. He's a good cricketer, and apparently an arrogant bastard. And he has an ear-ring.
