A question for telly-savvy people who know...

The remote for our digital set-top box has failed, died a death, gone kaput. New batteries are no use. We have two remotes - one for the tv itself (and controls dvds etc), and the remote that came with the digital box that controls the freeview - this is the one that's broken.

What kind of remote do I need to buy to replace it, that will control the freeview? I had a one-for-all remote a while back with another telly which didn't work at all. The TV is a Samsung LCD thing, two or three yrs old, can't remember who made the set-top box.
