What can you tell me about the ancient Roman festival of Rosalia?

alley [Edit] [Delete] 18:16, 8 November '09

If anything. The internet is letting me down. History majors/general nerds, I beseech you. This book I was reading mentioned it as a giant, awesome festival celebrating roses. Stupid Wikipedia is saying it was just the Roman version of an originally Athenian festival in honor of Dionysus. Some other one-line internet source says it was some festival honoring Flora--does it mean just general flora or some minor goddess or something called Flora? Is it right, anyway? Is there a book in which I could read about this particular festival in greater detail?
