Another Great Excel Question
Hi,
i've asked this elsewhere, but incase... I'm designing a fairly basic stats package, using Access and Excel. so far I've got a series of select queries in Access being automatically exported to Excel onto various sheets. From here I just need to produce a selection of trend charts which will be updated weekly. For example average turnaround time for a specific task type against time.
The problem I have is that as the data I am importing has multiple task types on one worksheet, yet I need to show each task type independently, there is no definitive range for the tasks. For example information on task type 1 is in rows 2 to 25, then task type 2 is from 26 to 70, task type 3 from rows 71 to 100 etc. I could set up each chart for one week, but the next week the data would have expanded by a week, most likely such as task type 1 is now rows 2 to 26, task type 2 in 27 to 72 and task type 3 in 73 to 104, but even this cannot be said for certain, as task types become redundant.
There are quite a lot of task types, so if I split the data down to one type per worksheet, it will become very cluttered. So is there a way to define a range on a chart dependant on a condition on a worksheet?
Thanks,
