Some Ashes info (Headingley)
god knows why I'm getting these emails. But anyway, there was chat yesterday about tickets, I got this last night:
**IMPORTANT ASHES TICKET INFORMATION**
Ballot system announced for remaining npower Ashes tickets
Due to the high demand from Yorkshire members for tickets to the 4th npower Ashes Test Match at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground next season, there are only a few tickets remaining to go on general sale on 1st December 2008.
The Club has announced that in order to make it completely fair for those who have waited for the Ashes tickets to go on general sale, the remaining tickets will be allocated via an online ballot system.
The online ballot will open on Monday 1st December and those wishing to enter will have to fill in a simple form at www.yorkshireccc.com. This form will be available on the website to complete at any time until 31st January 2009 when the ballot will close.
The first draw will take place during February and successful applicants will be notified of the outcome. In the event that further seats become available for any reason further draws may be held and unsuccessful ballot entrants will automatically be entered into these. Please note only one application per person is permitted and multiple ballot entries will be void.
Each applicant will be able to apply for up to four tickets per day on the ballot form. However, in order to give all applicants a better chance of securing tickets, this maximum allocation may be revised down to two tickets per person per day by the Club on review of the number of people who enter the ballot.
Please note that under no circumstances can applications be taken over the telephone or in person so we urge people, to avoid disappointment, not to come to the ground or to telephone the Club on 1st December. If people do not have access to a computer or would prefer not to apply online, please send a SAE to the Marketing Department, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground, Leeds LS6 3BU and the Club will send a form in the post. Please return this form to enter the ballot.
Intriguing. I'll fill out a form for sure.
