'Hi everyone, I wonder if you could help me. Recently i have become one of the many casualties of the credit crunch and have been made redundant. Since then i have, to fill up my time, dusted off the old air rifle out of the attic. Mainly i just shoot rodents: rats, mice, pigeons and foxes. But when my six year old daughter asked for a go i thought it would be brilliant to get some young blood into the sport especialy girls who usually do not enjoy this sport. Whilst teaching her the basics she accidently misfired hitting the neighbours cat in the side and subsequently killing it. My neighbour is an 82 year old lady and upon me telling her, she has threatend to go to the police. As you can see im in a bit of a pickle and want to know where i stand legaly as the cat was in my garden'
