Story: Guy from next door has a "wacky" scheme to get us on jeremy kyle. Tells them I'm an alcoholic and have stolen from him.

Now they're phoning me.
Can anyone give me any legal advice in terms of "would I get in trouble for lying to jeremy kyle to get put up in a hotel and my train fare paid for"?

also, what should I tell them on the phone? For fucks sake. I have no guts for this sort of thing.
