i seemed to go through an obsession with every sport for a while back there

badminton
snooker
table tennis
tennis
darts
golf
cricket

id get all excited...watch it on the telly, buy the gear, join a club etc etc...and then six months later i'd drop it like a devoted wife that only ever gives but pales in comparison to the next shiny game in town.

my loft is like a graveyard of failed sporting conquests...a cue here, some pads there.

but thats the middle classes eh?

all my poor mates just played cricket with walking sticks and clementines,....but it must have worked because one plays for the county now, and i just wheeze after a short jog for the bus.

so, my original point....what were you down with as a kid, hobby wise, but dont really dig on now?

warhammer (without actually playing properly)
marbles (without ever playing a game)

i am noticing a disconcerting trend that i fear has carried over into areas of my adult life.
