At what point do you...

stop being a 'fan' or 'follower' of a football club and become a 'supporter'?

Is there an emotional attachment made or do you have to go to a certain amount of games or rainy Tuesday nights in Grimsby?

I only ask as I get inordinately riled by people who refer to their club as 'we' who have made no real effort to become active supporters. Also, I know a couple of football fans that conveniently seem to forget that they claim to support a team when they lose, but the minute they win a game (particularly against your club) they love to come and rub it in your face. I hate that shit. This is an example from IRL by the way and not a slight on anybody on here.

Anyway, does this even matter? I suppose everybody has little bugbears and this is one of mine.
