The piece of blu-tack that joined forces with Lauren Laverne in hitting an audience member on the eyebrow during an episode of The Culture Show, has publically apologised for the incident.

"I send my heartfelt condolences to the audience member that was on the end of this juvenile and ill-considered act."

19 million people have complained to Ofcom regarding the decision to broadcast the incident. It is rumoured that Gordon Brown will be releasing a statement regarding his future as Prime Minister shortly.
