so outside my friends flat there is a a tree which has been cut down, leaving about 1 1/2 meter for trunk standing and it's not a thick trunk at all. What if i get a pumpkin and cut a hole in the bottom and a scary face and ise the tree stump as a pike and fill it with paper and set it alight...will this detract any potential trick or treaters or scare anyone away?

either way it will look cool.
