I was in North London this morning, and was asked to sign a petition about local parking by a seemingly lovely woman in a cafe. I said I actually live in East London and she said 'Oooh, I grew up there. It's changed a lot. Used to be so nice. The JEWS are a lovely race of people, but yes, hmm, others...' (INSERT IN SILENT CAPITAL LETTERS: THE BLACKS ARE NOT)

I ignored her racist carrots, but then suddenly got all defensive about Clapton, even though frankly, it's quite hard-going sometimes and I can think of very good and very very bad things about it. I was like 'Hackney's so exciting at the moment!' etc (vomface), even though I have serious mixed feelings about it.
