i've been trying to scan something for fricking ages now.

the scanner is plugged in. turned on. plugged into the PC.
the necessary software has been installed.

yet STILL it won't recognise the scanner.

this happened to me before and i scanned the pages using windows picture and fax viewer (i think) but now i can't find it anywhere to actually USE.

HELP ME PLEASE before i go mental.
