Shouldnt children be being taught to grow food, make repairs to building infrastructure, darn, cook economically and unwastefully, etc.

At present my sons school is still setting rubbish that requires pictures and text to be printed on by computer.
WHy are they not ancouraged to be less wastefull, this is mutiplied a million plus fold.
