So, for months I've been living in a room with mould on the walls and damp in the corner. All caused by rain water soaking through the brickwork in one corner of the room. Complained about it to the landlord 2 months ago - minor steps have been taken but the problem has not been solved.

On Friday morning I woke up barely able to breathe. After the symptoms had persisted for a few hours, I went to hospital and was told that I had suffered a recurrence of childhood asthma. Both the hospital doctor and my GP think there's a fair chance it has been caused by the mould.

I know if I'm told next week I'll be using an inhaler for the rest of my life isn't the end of the world but I'm fcking angry all the same if I have to just so that some lazy worthless parasite can get money for nothing.

Anyway, questions

1) Can I walk out on my AST?
2) Can I pursue a civil claim against the landlord?
