Why is life so bloody hard?

So, here's the dilemma.

I work part time doing a job that's halfway to what I want to do for decent enough money, although with it being part-time, it's not quite enough to live on. I've spent the last 18 months doing voluntary work to try to boost my CV ready for the next big career rung.

Now I've just been offered a job that is more like 80% what I want to be doing, with possibilities for some great training, increased repsonsibility and career development down the line. Thing is, it's also part time and Arts Council funded so lower paid. AND, it looks like I'm not going to be able to keep my current (better paid) position if I take it. The new job on it's own would be TOTALLY not enough to live on and I've have to head down the call centre or bar work route for a couple of days a week at least.

Argh!!! What do I do? Leave a job that's really pretty decent with a good hourly rate for what it is, or do I remind myself that Tesco don't accept sexual favours for groceries and stick with the money, even though I'll still need to find some way to supplement it...?

Life is a fucking bitch, but your advice is appreciated...
