Hiya - I've signed up to do some volunteering over the xmas period (I loathe xmas so happy to ignore it entirely and wanted to do it last year but missed the intake dates) with a fairly well known charity - I'm doing the general volunteer stuff and got my shifts last night in the post - am on the hardcore graveyard shifts for about a week which suits me just fine.

Has anyone ever done anything like this on here? I've done charity work in the past (have done soup kitchen stuff once or twice briefly) but that was a long time ago and this is for quite a prolonged period. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share any stories and especially advice on working with homeless people.
