I ordered this off Amazon last week and got around to opening it for the first time a couple of hours ago. It would have been sooner, but one of my housemates evidently has a leftfield sense of humour; depositing the Amazon envelope on the floor between the wall and the narrow space behind my desk.

So I'm about 60 pages in and already I'm getting this is probably going to be one of the best books I'm likely to read for a long time. Too soon to go properly into it, but suffice to say if the idea of a series of The Wire just written down appeals to you, pick up a copy for yourself.
